Personally I’ve always been hooked on fonts and the message they convey. Done right, a font can be dramatic, happy, sad, and let’s not forget professional. I’m going to show you how to add to your collection for Linux and Windows. Linux first, and yes get your terminal opened and logged in as root. Feel free to copy and paste.
cp -rvf fonts-main /usr/share/fonts
Now exit the terminal, log out, or reboot if you want, log back in and enjoy all the new fonts available to your programs.
Alright, I promised Windows so let’s go. Click here to download the main.zip and let the zip package download. Once downloaded right click and extract here, it will create a folder called fonts-main, click the folder and in the upper right corner of windows explorer in the search box type in *.ttf this will find all the true type fonts. Give it a minute to make sure you get them all. Once complete type Ctrl + a, then right click all the highlighted fonts and click install or install for all users. Once complete go ahead and restart, then login, you’re welcome.
Have a lot of fun!
